記憶は可塑である。
忘れ去られて少し消えてしまったり、後付けの感情で歪んだり、否応無しに日々変容していく。
他人から集めたネガフィルムをバーナーで焼いて変形し、それを暗室でプリントする。
さらにそのプリントを高解像度でスキャンし、反転させネガの状態に戻す作業をした。

実際のネガフィルムと写真の中のフィルムは同じ物だが、反転と変形を繰り返し変化している。
普通のスナップ写真が映した光景が、抽象的な色の欠片になって空間に漂う。
スナップ写真は一瞬を切り取るが、それが並ぶネガフィルムには連続した時間が記録される。
ひとつひとつの瞬間の境が融け、歪み、曖昧になることで、一定の形に留まることのない記憶の有り様を映し出す。

Memory is liquid.
Forgotten, erased, or deformed by new emotions, it inexorably evolves each day.
I collect negatives from others, and blowtorch them until the images change, and print them in the darkroom.
Then I scan the prints at high definition, and convert them back into negatives.

Actual negatives are the same as camera films bu the negatives have been transformed through repeated conversion and reforming.
Ordinary snapshots turn into colorful fragments and hover in space. Snapshots capture images at each instant, so multiple snapshot negatives record continuous passing of time.
Boundaries of time are removed, and this way, time becomes distorted and blurred, projecting unspecified images that become - memory.
