写真家 川村恵理氏による初の写真作品集。

早朝の渋谷の都市写真を繊細な眼差しで切り取っている写真群に合わせて、歩道橋などの塗装に使用される淡いグリーンと、早朝の光の煌めきをイメージした虹色の箔を使用した。糸かがりの色も同じトーンのグリーン。表紙の図版は、仲山氏の文章から着想を得てデザインした。

糊付けしない仮フランス装の軽やかな装丁で作品の雰囲気に合わせた。

一見すると無記名の都市のパーツの連なりは、現代を生きる私たちに日々寄り添っている慣れ親しんだ風景です。新型コロナウイルス感染拡大直前の渋谷の街の一端を収めたイメージには、人の気配はなく、その後の都市の変容を示唆するかのような静けさに包まれている一方、どこか生活の痕跡や穏やかな空気も感じさせ、人と都市とがふれあう肌理の存在が浮き彫りになっています。
寄稿文として、東京大学アーバンサイエンスラボ主催の吉村有司氏「テラン・ヴァーグ 都市の無意識、機械の目」、美術誌等で活躍する気鋭の批評家 仲山ひふみ氏「否定の透明性を操作する」を収録。

At first glance, the series of parts of an anonymous city is a familiar landscape that is close to us living in the present age every day. The image of a part of the city of Shibuya just before the spread of the new coronavirus infection has no sign of people, and while it is surrounded by tranquility that seems to suggest the transformation of the city after that, there are traces of life somewhere. It also makes you feel the calm air, and the existence of the texture where people and the city interact is highlighted.
